Week in Review: Accomplishments and Progress
2025 Road Program
Surface asphalt was paved this week on Silo Hill Drive, Kerry Way, Stevens Court, Karen Lane, and Prairie Trail.
North Alley Utility Burial
Crews continued installing conduit in the North Alley and hydro-excavating around existing utilities. Conduit was installed in the island behind The Freeze. One of two transformer pads has now been installed, and ComEd has begun pulling wire to secondary pedestals, starting at Slusser Street. All required easements have been finalized.
Looking Ahead: Planned Activities
Next week, the final paving work is scheduled to take place at the Center Street railroad crossing. Once completed, paving operations for the Road Program will be finished. Landscape restoration and pavement striping throughout the project area are also anticpated to begin.
In the North Alley, conduit installation is anticipated to continue, with crews progressing eastward.
