Week in Review: Accomplishments and Progress
2025 Road Program
All structures have been lowered along Center Street and Atkinson Road. Increte removal was completed at the intersections of Hawley/Whitney, Hawley/Slusser, and Center/Slusser, followed by paving with asphalt. Milling operations were completed on Prairie Trail, Prairie Crossing Alleys, Bluestem Lane, Osage Orange, Kerry Way, Silo Hill Drive, Karen Lane, and Atkinson Road.
Atkinson Road was sprayed with tack coat and temporary ramps were installed at major intersections. Patch work was completed along Prairie Trail, Osage Orange, and Bluestem Lane.
North Alley Utility Burial
The contractor mobilized equipment to the North Alley and completed the construction layout for secondary electrical trenches.
2025 North Alley Streetscape and Parking Lot Improvements
Crews removed asphalt for the new transformer islands.
Looking Ahead: Planned Activities
Next week, crews anticipate completing increte removal and finishing milling operations throughout town. Patch work is scheduled to be completed, and paving work is anticipated to begin, starting on Atkinson Road.
In the North Alley, saw cutting for secondary trenches is anticipated, followed by trench excavation between pedestals and individual services, weather permitting.
