2025 North Alley Streetscape Masonry Improvements
The block walls for the trailer enclosure behind The Freeze have been constructed. Brick work was completed on the west wall and work continues on the east wall.

Looking Ahead: Planned Activities

Next week, the contractor anticipates removing and replacing the marked curb and gutter along Center Street. Brick and stonework on the trailer enclosure is expected to be completed, weather permitting. In the North Alley, installation of secondary pedestals and transformer pads is planned to begin once revised plans are issued. Communication structure installations are also anticipated to continue.

Community Impact: What to Expect

A small section of parking behind The Freeze is being utilized for staging equipment. As utility work continues in the North Alley, the Slusser Street exit will be closed periodically, with traffic being redirected to Hawley Street as necessary.

Construction signage has been placed in the downtown area in preparation for the 2025 Road Program. Work related to this program is expected to begin soon. As part of the Road Program, Pace Bus Route 570 will be rerouted, see here for more information.

Residents, patrons, and visitors are encouraged to exercise caution and be aware of signage and flaggers identifying changes in vehicle and pedestrian traffic within the project area. Please watch for construction signage, follow all posted traffic control measures, and visit this website for weekly updates throughout the duration of the project.
